wow that sucks wearing a helmit still man hid the helmit someplace
What?
#32 you might have never fallen and cracked your skull open but that doesn't mean to say other's haven't or that it's not a regular occurrence ESPECIALLY if there are idiots out and about. And even if you do fall and don't break your skull you could do some serious damage to your brain - internally and might not even realise it. They tell you to wear helmets for a safety reason not because they want you to look unfashionable.
I'm 23 years old. I was hit by a cab two weeks ago, and the hit threw me into a concrete post on the sidewalk. The impact almost broke my shoulder, it's bruised and cut up very badly, it's taking weeks to heal. Had I not had my helmet on, I would be dead.
Haha Sucks to be you. Tell your parents that you are not going to wear one since you are just riding casually.
First of all, who cares if you look good or not? Yeah, there's been times where I don't want to wear my helmet when I'm bike riding, but would you rather wear a stupid helmet or risk possible permenant damage, or even death? You might want to think about that again. My best friend wasn't wearing her helmet when she flipped over the handlebars, and she lost her complete. memory. She can't remember her family, let alone her best friend. So yeah, you might want to go with the helmet.

At least you are being safe... I had a friend die because he wasn't wearing a helmet. your parents are smart.
As much as I personally would like a blue helmet with flowers, I understand. I'm a college kid, and I'm willing to risk brain injury than be seen using a helmet on campus.
