#43 at least in the state i grew up in you don't have to wear a helmet once you're 16 so i guess it depends where this took place. That being said, its still a good idea to wear one though... you probably should have gotten one you liked rather than the one you were wearing and clearly hated. Therefore, YDI.

Assuming you live in a place where cars tend to rule the street it's just smart to wear a helmet. I used to think they were way lame too, but sometimes you just need to embrace "uncool" things to be safe. So, as has been said just get a new helmet and make it your own. paint it, add stickers make it something you won't be embarrassed to wear, but definitely wear one.
