Today, I was showing the guy I like something on my phone. My period tracking app decided it was the perfect time to tell me that I need to stock up on tampons, because I'm getting my period tomorrow. FML

At least he now knows when he has to take his chance to ask you out, and when not to ;)

A lot of girls do actually, it's really helpful. Especially if you're irregular, or ya know don't wanna get pregnant.

It's good to track, it prevents you from starting without being prepared

I keep up with mine so I know if Im late or not. Dont want to have an uh-oh moment.

Or for people who DO want to get pregnant- tracks ovulation too. "Get freaky.....now"

I don't see how that's so bad...all women get it, we shouldn't be embarrassed or anything...that's just my opinion

Yeah, I think it's about time we accept that menstrual cycles are completely normal and EVERY woman has them, mothers and sisters. If anything it's irregular to NOT have one. That would mean infertility.

That or pregnant...depends on if you meant to never have them or not have them for a long period of time.

It's not shameful for someone to be infertile. People have periods; we shouldn't have to frame them as family members of some assumed male to make us sympathize with their troubles.

As embarrassing as it must have been I bet the guy didn't even care. I mean all females get periods and guys know that. Don't sweat it op :)

I dunno. Most guys and myself can agree that we'd be a little weirded out.

Then maybe you should take an extra minute to think about why it would weird you out? Does it weird you out when you get a surprise boner too, or do you just accept it as a part of life? Because that what a period is, just another part of life. And women shouldn't have to feel ashamed of it. It isn't really any gross either, with the help of all the products available.

If I got an alert saying "You're gonna pop a boner in 20 minutes, you better be ready to hide it!" in front of a lot of my female friends, I'm sure you guys would be weirded out too.

If you're weirded out, grossed out, freaked out or anything along those lines, when it comes to periods, chances are you're to young for a relationship. Whether you're to young by age or just mentally to young. Periods are a natural bodily function, like gas, coughing, sneezing and breathing. Yes they aren't the best things to deal with whether you're the person who has the period or the person dealing with the person who has the period but if you're not mature enough to handle a woman and her period then you're not mature enough for a relationship. Just my opinion

Look, I'm not saying that it's "gross", I'm saying that it would indeed be awkward, but I would probably laugh it off to make Op feel better, if I was in that situation with her.

I'm very surprised by the ignorance on this topic....

As if you need an app with push notifications to tell you about your body. OP, you're better than this...

You're male, you can't say anything about it. ;)

yes lots of girls use apps to track it. it dorsnt always come on the same day of the month. it helps to figure out when to expect it and be prepared for it. i use one cause mine comes at random times. it helps keep track of what changes my body go through (cramps, fever, migraines, tender breasts, etc) so i can prepare for it when i feel then coming on.

He should understand it's just like the low battery on an iPhone no matter what you are doing it will pop up

Those apps are awesome. It's not like periods actually follow a monthly schedule, since ones cycle can range from 20-something to 30-something days, it pretty much never comes the same date every month.

I agree im preety sure my bosy took pity on me since i usually get periods going from the end of the month to the begining but for some reason my period was alot early which for me was good since i has to go swimming later in the month anyway moral of la story everyones body can be unpredictable at times so you shouldnt be ashamed to try and plan ahead and map out what you gotta do take pride in your body and so whats best for it no matter how akward it is for someone else
