Today, I was sitting at home when I remembered that I desperately needed gas for my car. On my way there, I prayed that my car would make it the whole way, and was thankful when I pulled up to the pump, because I knew my car wouldn't go any further. Then I realized I left my wallet at my house. FML

ouchhhh. im curious what you did from there. definitely FYL

I keep my license in my wallet as a default ID, and if you go by the same logic, you drove without a license :/ Still sorry to hear, though.

there isn't anything wrong with praying. and before you start leaving your entire wallet and more than like $20 in your car, remember the poster whose car got stole and when they found it, it smelled like sex and to top it off the thieves took a shoe from each of the 6 pairs that were weirdly in there. . . . i also agree w #29, you don't need a license to start your car. and once it's started its really easy to just leave. OP: how DID you get home/solve all this?

The Good Lord giveth, and the Good Lord owneth you hard. Tell the attendant you're stuck and take the 30-40 minutes to walk home and back.

i used to work at a gas station and this actually happened more often that you'd think. we just copy their drivers' license, vehicle info, and phone number, then let them drive home with a full tank after filling up and come back to pay for it. if you didn't know that though and came to that situation it would be pretty frustrating!!

Without his wallet (where most people keep their license) would you still do that though??

Oh damn, that does suck. YDI for not making sure you had your wallet and for letting your car get that low on gas. Hopefully the gas station employees were nice about it and you had someone that could help you out. Also, this if why I try to keep some money hidden away somewhere in the car.

Its not that big of a deal people. He has to take a short walk home and back. Whatever.

So, call someone to bring it to you?

Haha I've totally done this before. Thankfully the girls at the gas-station were nice and gave me like a 20 minute deadline to go get my money, but i had to give them the license plate number on my car in case I didn't come back!
