Today, I was taking my earrings out and thought I had lost the back of one. Turns out my ear infection has caused the flesh of my ear to grow around and engulf the back of my earring and it is still stuck in there. FML

Today, I have an infected piercing because I'm allergic to the metal. My ear is so swollen that I can't remove the jewelry. It won't get better until I'm able to remove the jewelry. FML

Today, and for the past few days, I've become aware that it's absolutely the worst time ever to get an infection after getting my right ear pieced, and having to walk around with a big Band-aid on my earlobe. FML

Today, my excruciating ear pain turned out to be a bastard maggot eating away at all the vital things behind my eardrum. The doctor pulled it out, but I’m now permanently deaf in that ear and can’t balance. I fall if I try to stand or walk further than 5 feet. FML

Today, I went to the doctor's to get a checkup. When the nurse stuck the Otoscope into my ear to look, she was disgusted. When she pulled it out, she told me that I had an ear infection, and that she'd popped a pimple in there by mistake. FML

Today, something blocked my ear. I couldn't get it out, so I went to Urgent Care so I didn't pop my eardrums. Turns out my allergies made my ears stop draining. After they rinsed my ears, I can now hear almost nothing. FML

Today, I got a second piercing in my ear. I needed help cleaning the back, so I asked my dad for help. I told him to careful, but right when I did, he tore the earring out with the cotton swab. Thanks, dad. FML

I actually had the exact same thing. Like exactly.. Kinda went actually... But yeah, I had to go in to a doc to get the back cut out of my ear.

This was exactly what happened to me! Had to go to the GP and have it surgically removed. Not fun OP.

Go to a licensed piercing place. Ask them what to do. To people saying take infected piercings out: NO. This can trap bacteria inside the body. I have multiple lobe piercings, ear cartilage and bellybutton. Never had one infected but always been told to leave it in and clean it if it happens!

Lol FYL I know it sucks, literally the exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago and I had to get surgery to cut it out of my ear. Haha good luck!
