I don't know why but it's actually not too uncommon of a thing. It's almost like weird form of OCD. Some even go into beauty treatment/spa service jobs just so they can do it for work. I'd say take her up on the offer, obviously not in front of other people. It will give you some one on one time to chat her up, just be warned you will never be able to get a massage from her. She'll go till she finds a zit, then the OCD kicks in and the hunt begins.
