Okay, so you might think your boss is in a powerful position, but he's not. You are. if your boss has a higher boss himself, you might consider talking to that boss about this incident or threatening your boss to tell his boss. If your boss is the CEO of the company, it's harder. You can either tell him to back off and threaten him with legal steps for abusing a powerful position or (if this kind of things happen more often and he plainly sucks) you might wanna get it known to the shareholders. Or you could just tell your boss to **** off (not recommended to say it literally).

Ugh so mean. My boss did something similar, I requested my birthday off, I was approved, but then they assigned me to work the next morning at 5. That was the only time in 4 years my birthday was on a Saturday :/
