Today, I was threatened with suspension from school because of my nose piercing. I had to explain that it's actually a pimple. FML

I'm assuming you go to private school.

Suspended for a nose peircing that doesn't have a ring in it? Strict much?

This is EXACTLY one of the issues with schools. They have so many unintelligent rules that it raises the percentage of students who do not like school. School Administrators think school is so safe that they ban things that don't even cause a single problem. No, school is not the safest place to be at. In fact, there are NO places that are the safest. Sure, it may be safe, but it is NOT the safest. But banning nose piercing is not part of being in danger. Another issue is that school districts are not limiting what rules a school can and cannot have. Soon enough, a parent may sue the school for having such a dumb rule because they think they are safe. They say that school districts care about their students. But allowing the school to make up any rule they want does NOT show that they care about their students. If I EVER get suspended for wearing colored shoelaces, I will certainly complain to the school district. If schools think they are safe by being over-protective, then maybe students should have the right to hate school even more. If teachers and administrators started caring more about what the student had to say, then maybe students will start doing their work more often. Enough with the 'You're in high school' bullcrap because that shows that you only care about students based on their grade level, not the school's behavior. This may not have nothing to do with this FML, but I'm sick of schools thinking they are safe and the best place to be at because it's not. There is NO place, no website, no town, no state, no country that are safe. This website isn't even safe itself to come think of it. So until schools improve their careness, pleasure, and attitude towards student; I believe students have the right to dispise school.

Oh snap! That's embarrassing but one day you'll look back and laugh at it

reminds me of the time someone asked if i had a nose piercing, just with the piercing left out. i really had an enlarged pore from a previous large pimple, so i feel your pain, op. ):
