His brother tried to explain that they'd decided to make the ceremony for family members only, then two our classmates popped out to say hello. They're not related, neither to my friend nor to his fiancée. FML

Today, my future sister-in-law cancelled my invitation to her and my brother's wedding. Her reason was that I was incredibly rude to announce my pregnancy to my family at a time like this, because it took all the attention away from her. FML

Today, a year after I moved out with no contact since, my former housemates texted me out of the blue to tell me I'm not invited to their wedding. Seems she thought I'd just turn up and "embarrass" myself. I never indicated that I intended or even wanted to go. FML

So I agree with the sentiment, but isn't it the maid of honor's job to plan the bachelorette party? I know the best man does the bachelor party. Like, that's the one part of your wedding you're not allowed to have control over. That's what makes it a party. OP just got screwed by some shitty friends...
