Today, I was walking down the street and spotted a man who was about 6 and a half feet tall passing by me. As he passed me, I turned and asked him "How's the weather up there?" He then turned around, spat on me, and replied "Raining." FML

ydi for being rude. that's not something you say to random tall people you see on the streets, most tall people find it to be extremely rude and annoying when people come up and make comments about their height.

how is what the OP said considered rude and insulting? I'm only 4'11" and have called midget or dwarf my whole life, but "how's the weather up there?" =/= an insult. Spitting was completely disgusting and uncalled fir, it's not like the OP yelled "Hey it's the Jolly Green Giant!" or something truely mean.

Its rude because making a joke about a stranger's height whether they are tall or short is rude, just like making a joke about their makeup, hairstyle/color, or anything else about them would be rude. Speaking in a derogatory manner to anyone is rude. The OP may have just been joking but that doesn't change the fact that it is rude.
