I'm the OP - just to let you know, I'm a young girl in my 20's, so I generally try to be careful in high crime areas. If that makes me a bad person, then okay. I was crossing the street from one side, and the road curved so I couldn't see the car coming. The guy was on the other side of the road. I'm fine now, I was only in the hospital for a couple of hours, broken leg and a couple of stitches.

Well it doesn't matter what what part of town you are some stranger yell at waring or not doesn't really want to make you stop to see what they want no matter if it's helpful or not. but I've been hit by a car too by my own stupidity though i suppose it could be partially the drivers fault to for not being fully aware of surroundings.
You know what? I would've done the same. As a young girl, it's far more dangerous to respond.
