Today, I was woken by the sound of music coming from my living room at 1:30 am. My cat had managed to turn on the stereo and turn the volume all the way up. Just as I fell asleep again, there was a knock at the door. The police showed up about a noise complaint. FML

Mine don't. They whine when they need to go out and are otherwise silent as far as barks and whines.

Your neighbors must be fun people considering they called in a noise complaint after how brief I'm assuming that stereo was on from your cat before you could turn it off... We think cats are clueless but they're real evil geniuses!

I don't blame you! I live in an apartment and once the neighbors directly across from me had a small party from 2am till 5am. I didn't file a noise complaint since it was the first and last time they were ever loud. I just put a pillow over my head and it drowned out the noise pretty well so if anyone complained, it was another neighbor.

If you do, hopefully you can just explain yourself and they will understand. :-) You'll leave a better impression if they know you didn't deliberately put the music on.

You're lucky, my neighbors have no insulation so it does no good to call in a noise complaint, since you can hear literally every step they take, very song they play, Everytime their kids so much as giggle you can hear it. It gets really annoying.
