Today, I was working my shift and my ex girlfriend came in to apply for a job. She broke up with me for another guy so i can't stand being in the same room as her. The manager talked to her and decided to hire her on the spot. I need to train her. FML

train her to do everything wrong .. =)

you know you can talk to your manager and explain that it is not comfortable for you. a good manager will understand. if not i guess you can always get a new job?

I know how you feel...my ex boyfriend and I just got hired at the same place too...very bad breakup. All you have to do is try to be mature about it. If you can handle it maturely it should be fine.

Man, that's the perfect opportunity for revenge,. but, sadly #1 is very right. And, why is she working at the same place you are at? maybe she's having second thoughts? if you still like her...

btw my job is mcdonalds and it's part time so like i'm still in high schoolb well thank you for all advice, but i decided to talk to the manager and mention that i didn't feel comfortable training her, and that she is my ex girlfriend and he said that he will take care of it.. he called her with me still in his office and said that he found someone else who will do the job for less pay and that she no longer had a job.. he is conducting interviews this week because he never actually found anyone, he told me that i'm one of his best employees and he wants to keep me as happy as possible and focused on work.. i love my boss

you handled everything in a very mature and professional manner op. thumbs up

teach her to do her job wrong so she gets fired.

Hold back just enough and she'll be fired for poor performance.

AWKWARD!!!!! hope that worked out better than you hoped...

It would have been worse if he fired you to hire her.. But he fired you after you trained her xD

DUDE! That's an awesome opportunity to revenge ;)

It's shitty of her to apply for a job at your place of work, shows lack of respect for you. As others have said, be mature, don't let her get to you and keep things professional. Concentrate on the fact that you don't have to give her the time of day outside your working hours.
