Hay OP here, yeah I know it's my fault, I seriously ****** up. The original argument was about him spilling his coffee milkshake all in my car and on my purse, but that's water under the bridge now. I normally do check all the pockets before I put them in, I was just in a rush. I told him stright away and the wallet and keys are salvageable but the phone very much not. He's attually really chill about it bc he knows I didn't mean too and I am going to help him sort out a new phone asap. Always check your pockets folks!

Feels bad man
You know what they say....
Ever thought of the golden rule to check the pockets. Well at least it's not like a was of paper like my husband and the I have to lint roll each thing to get it off.
The rule in my house is to empty/check your own pockets BEFORE removing the clothing. I am already picking up your clothes (because Clearly you-all of the men/boys here- cannot figure out how a hamper works) and I am washing, drying, folding, hanging and sometimes ironing FOR YOU! I will NOT be held responsible for also checking 1-5 (or more) pockets on each item of clothing. That's not my job, not my problem! Check your own ******* pockets. Probably not the situation with OP and I'm sorry that happened to you. Happy to hear he took the news so well.
first time you ever did laundry, princess?
hope you both managed to reconcile, love is a wonderful thing and your relationship should not depend on materialistic belongings
My girlfriend did this to me not once but twice. Shit happens. I know for me my pockets are like women's purses. I keep my stuff in there until my fresh set of clothes are on so I know where it all is. Its a dangerous habit but I wash my own clothes 99% of the time. Thanks for not blaming him for his logic and taking responsibility. You sound like an awesome person.
Hey, on the bright side you can at least see how strong ya'lls relationship is.
Put phone in rice for a day or two. It should by dry then.

Sorry, but YDI. I just can't understand why people don't check the pockets of clothes before washing.
If you put the waterlogged phone in some rice it will be good as new the next morning. The rice attracts Asians who fix the electronic device. (This is a joke and is not meant to be taken even slightly seriously)
