I was there!
I am imagining that in my head and laughing my arse off.
What kind of trick is that? Way better than the faceplant
Please do something next time: don't show off
This is a late post, but being a VERY experienced skier (skiing since I was around 2 and ski racing since I was 6), I know that if you want to show off, don't go your top speed. If you really want to seem awesome, either do a jump, or go fast by doing amazing turns, like racing-style turns. Going your top speed around new skiers is, quite frankly, stupid, dangerous, and makes you seem more like a douche than a cool person. When I go down the only hill I can hit my top speed, at top speed (77 mph the last time I was measured with a speed gun), I would LITERALLY kill someone if I hit them. So, in summary, just learn how to do a 360 if you want to show off.

hehe that's what you get for trying to show off.
Ouch. Must have hurt. Its not really your fault though I'd say, it's natural for people to want to show off. There's nothing wrong with it, if you don't take it too far.
