Today, I went to a party 40 minutes away by bus with some friends. We missed the bus, waited half an hour for the second, and arrived just in time to hear the policemen say, "Party's over. Get outta here." FML

So the FML here is that instead of sitting in a jail cell and having to have your parents come get you, you had to take the bus home again? Could have been so much worse!

i wouldn't have gone if I had missed the bus. 40 minute ride is not worth 2 hours of a party ,then being drunk & busing home. No thanks.

FML is just an expression used when everything doesn't go your way. It's like if you spill a drink on your carpet. You sigh and say, "**** my life." It's an expression that's not meant to be taken literally. No one whose life is truly ****** is going to put it on a website like, "Today, terrorists beheaded my whole family. They say I'm next. oddly enough the same and I live in a student town which also has chavs and loads of OAPs I've had plenty of complaints for parties but no police involved
