That's your own fault for not saying something. No sympathy.
Why would you do it? All he can do is scream at you. You should've just told him that you were there with your grandpa.
I'm a Gulf War vet and go to group counseling with other combat vets. Last week someone tried to pull rank on one of the Vietnam vets. He said "drop and give me 20." The Vietnam vet said "20 farts maybe." Lmao. Yes veterans can be crusty.
Think of it as initiation. It could have been worse, but at least they didn't outright ignore you or send you away. Good for you for holding your own and for supporting your grandpa.
If your not in and or ever was in the services then he cannot order you around. He has no authority over citizens
Just roll with it. 1) he's a veteran, 2) he's your elder. Push-ups, unless you have a heart condition, won't kill you. Be proud you weren't disrespectful to him, you likely made your grandpa proud. Others may call you spineless, but you earned the respect of some vets. Old people are cool.
he was probably screwing with you op XD
How'd he 'force' you? Sitting on you? Did you try saying no and walking away?
You could have stood up to him and just not done them, wus.
You didn't have to do it your own choice to take what he wanted you to do

Drop and give me 20, maggot!
Now you have a new respect for your grandpa and those who serve(d) in the military.
