Today, I went to an ATM intending to withdraw $150. I approached the machine, inserted my card, typed in my pin and followed the prompts. When my card came out, I removed it, put it in my pocket and drove off. FML

Hi guys, OP here. To clarify, it wasn't a drive through ATM, I walked back to the car before the money came out. Also to those asking how I managed to do such a careless thing - I had just had a stressful day at work on the closing shift so my mind wasn't with it. I'm lucky I have a loving family that can support me until my next pay day. And I hope I just hope the money ended up in hands that needed it more than myself.

Ya if anything most ATMs have cameras imbedded inside to look at who approached them so you may be able to find out who had acquired your money. If not get it back

Some banks have the kind of ATM where if the money that comes out isn't taken within a couple of minutes, then the machine takes it back. You can contact your bank and let them know the location and time of the incident and they will most likely refund you. If not, they may be able to find the identity of the person who was next at the ATM through the camera. Good luck.

I have lost large amounts of money before, but I have also found large amounts of money as well, and usually when I was really really needing it. So I always like to think that the person who found it probably needed it more then I did anyways. but maybe thats just me trying to make myself feel better
