Today, I went to see a movie I'd been waiting months for. A couple of women sat down a few rows in front of me with five infants. The infants cried and wailed throughout. I'm not sure I have any idea what was actually said in any of the dialogue. FML

AceGeek tells us more.

It was a midnight showing of Captain America. I was not going to bitch them out, because I am not absolutely rude. I was trying to show respect for mothers that have to take care of a child. I am just disappointed that I could not hear the dialogue. Yes, I did get a refund after I explained the situation, and I am going to go see it tomorrow. Hope that clears it up.

I will never understand why people think it's a good idea to bring a baby into the movies.

I would have said SHUT YOUR DAMN CHILDS MOUTH -_-

I HATE stupid people like that! I went to see transformers in 3-D and a mom gave her kid a DS that lite up the whole theater. Yeah, she got bitched out by me. ***Parents, keep your brats at home!!! Also, OP, you could always complain and get a raincheck or see the next show. I've done it before. Movies are too expensive to put up with other people's BS!

When I was a kid, my mom brought me to see a movie in theater. I'm 90% sure it was FernGully, which would mean I was about 2 at the time. Halfway through the movie I got completely bored and started playing with my seat. You know how theater seats flip up when you stand up? Well I stood up, then crawled up on top of the seat next to it, then slipped down the gap between the seat and the back. And promptly got stuck. Took about 5 minutes of my mom freaking out before some guy reached over and pushed on my head till I popped out the bottom. TL;DR Kids don't belong in theaters, and I'm proof of that. Wait until they're actually old enough to appreciate being in a theater. Like 10 or something at the least. (also, NEVER go to an afternoon matinee for a kid's movie. Seemed like a convenient time to see Cars but turned out listening to 10 kids running up and down the aisles for most of the movie. IF YOU CAN'T EVEN GET THEM TO SIT ON THEIR ASS FOR 90 ******* MINUTES, KEEP THEM AT HOME!!!)

YDI for sitting through the entire movie like that. tolerating it for 10 minutes is fine, but thats just ******* retarded.

I'm going to say YDI simply because you //obviously// didn't have the brain capacity to go tell an employee. I've had people booted from theaters on two separate occasions because they were being peckerheads

lol peckerheads? that's a new one.

I hate when people do that, I mean It's not like you're going to be able to hear the movie anyway so why not get a babysitter? If you can't then you should just not go and not ruin the movies for others.

People should not bring infants to films

id be pissed. when 'Wanted' came out, i was soo excited and when i finally went to see it the lady next to me was coughing like she was exorcising a demon the entire movie and i couldnt hear a word.

oh yeah that can be annoying to. a movie just came out i wanted to see, and when it did i got hit with a cold. but i waited till i got over it till i saw it, took a week. but there was no way i was going to piss ppl off with my coughing

Depending on the age determines whether a kid should be allowed. Infants... shouldn't be allowed to any movies cause they are infants. they aren't going to know what is going on, they aren't even going to remember it. What is the point? Oh too cheap to pay for a babysitter. Kid movies... kids yeah... but as long as they are behaved. if you KNOW that your kids aren't gonna behave then keep their butts out of the theatre. That's why me and my friend never went to a movie... cause we couldn't find a sitter and we knew her kids wouldn't sit still long enough through it so we watched movies at home. I still remember vividly... I went to see "The Mechanic" and some dumb parent brought their kids to see it. Really? A Jason Statham R-rated movie and you bring your little kids to see it? And of course a sex scene comes up and one of the kids blurts out "That lady is naked." It was only at the dollar theatre so I wasn't bothered by that interruption or any other interruptions but just the fact that there were little kids watching it irked me. they don't need to be exposed to that. Sometimes parents just don't think and refuse to be considerate of others. That is when it is time to speak up and get their butts tossed out.

who the Hell brings infants into a movie theater and doesn't go to the lobby when it starts crying?!
