Sorry, but YDI. If you read correctly, it's clearly the OP's fault, since she is the one that said it was a baby tooth (not the dentist). Either way, you can get an implant to replace it, so it's really not a huge deal. Sac up.

As long as the decayed tooth is gone, it's all good.

The alternative is having a decaying tooth still in her mouth. A decaying tooth would have eventually caused in infection, which could have turned into an abcess, and even could have made the person septic. Also, once it's infected around the tooth, novicaine doesn't work! She could have felt every excruciating pull on the tooth! Now THAT would have been fun. A dental implant is worth it to avoid all that pain and suffering.

Why? The tooth was decaying. They wouldn't have just LEFT it there. He would've had to have it removed whether it was a permanent tooth or not.

I'm American and I love the British! Just finished Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker series and loved it. It's silly to say all British have bad oral hygiene. I've seen many Americans with teeth that want to make me hurl. Neither my own sister, nor my BIN even brush their teeth. Yucky.
