Today, I went to the emergency room for busting my lip open, I had to lie and tell them I slipped and fell. In reality I was singing with the soap bottle and slammed it into my lip. FML

Today, I reached for my lip balm while laying in bed in the dark. I accidentally knocked my bedside lamp, and it fell on my hand and shattered. A huge glass fragment impaled my hand. I just got out of surgery. FML

Today, while observing a surgery, I was asked to open a glass ampule of adrenaline. Not only did I break it and get it everywhere, I sliced open my thumb bad enough to need stitches. FML

Today, I woke to find a pool of my own blood all over my pillow. Frantic to find the source of the blood, I rushed into the bathroom and tripped over my too-long pajama pants. Crashing to the floor face first, I broke my nose. Turns out I had just bitten my lip in the middle of the night. FML

Today, I went to the hospital emergency room to visit my boyfriend who had badly sliced his leg open. It ended with me being admitted with a possible head trauma, after hitting my head on the wall and floor as I collapsed at the sight of his wound. FML

Today, I accidentally slammed my leg against the coffee table. It was only after I went to the bathroom a few minutes later that I realized there's now a massive gash on my upper leg. I also got in trouble for yelling, "SON OF A BITCH!" as soon as the impact occurred. FML

Today, at work, I managed to hit myself in the face with a large sheet pan. The force made me back into a shelf, which knocked a box off the top, which hit me in the head and knocked me out-cold. I now have a fat lip, a sore head, and bruises all over from the fall. FML

Today, I bust my lip when a car bumped into mine. As I headed home, I was stopped by the police who told me my back light was out. I tried to explain, but it just came out as "fghjiljh" because of my lip. I was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving. FML

1. Okay, why do you say you had to lie? Who the hell cares how it happened other than yourself? The people working the er don't give a rats ass how you got hurt and aren't gonna judge you or shout it out to the world or film it for youtube, they're there to help you and they need accurate information to do so. Obviously a split lip doesn't make much difference for how it happened, but it's just so dumb to lie about anything to a doctor, and so many people do - I could get into a whole deal about how it's not only bad for their possible treatment but also for the health care in your area in the long run - every health care center has to keep track of who was in for what and why, and all that information is processed and is a big factor in how funding is chosen for different areas of health care. Sorry, the health statistician in me reared it's head. >.< Done ranting! 2. A split lip is really not much of a reason to go to the er and use up time that could be spent helping people who really need it - unless your definition of a split lip is way different than the norm.

I don't know...I've seen people who needed stitches on their lips from hitting it. Although how on earth a soap dispenser managed to do such damage I have no clue.
