Today, I went to the movies with the guy I have been in love with for a long time. I laid my head on his shoulder and he held my hand throughout the movie. Afterwards he asked me for advice on the girl he likes. Apparently she isn't talking to him anymore. FML

OP Here- I love you people, speculating on people's lives like you know something. This is really old now, but I figured I'd give an update. I agree your life sucks. I spent the last 3 years letting letting my best friend, who I love deeply, cry on my shoulder any time something was wrong and she never realized all I did for her. I know what it feels like.

Just because I only game her subtle that I liked her other then being there for her when she needed someone doesn't make me a fake. I am a genuine nice guy unless some sets me over the limit which is quite high. I've always been nervous and shy when it comes to her cause I fear that there is someone better then me for her, and because of how long I've known this girl. you're just a douche who needs to think before talking.

I do more then her other best friends even do for her. I don't expect her to jump into bed with me. I have spent the last three years writing her poems and stories for her birthday. I found some way to make every day I saw her special to her. All I ever wanted from her was for her to listen to my sincerity when I flat out told her I liked her. And she thought I was joking.

I went to see a soppy film with my female friend because neither of our partners would go with us, were both faithful and taken and we were kinda close during the film. It doesnt meananything more than friendship. Also i'm in love with my family and my friends, it doesn't mean im sleeping with them does it? I don't think this is a YDI or FYL because your lucky to have a close male friend that isn't trying to sleep with you, andif he is trying to sleep with you and was just being a dumbass wel thats what you want right? Trust me, people are shit at reading signals when it comes to things like this, you could tell they guy you liked him and he probably wouldn't believe you till you made it even more obvious

the only reason he brought it up is cause you were getting too close, chances are that he doesn't really give a crap about your opinion he's just giving you a head's up before you get more comfortable and things escalate to something else, and it becomes really ******* awkward... But then again I don't know you or the guy just letting you know what i think cause I have done that before, just to let the girl know that I don't want her. Anyways I'm sorry, shit happens

Oh God...another "girl is obsessed with the guy to the point where she thinks they're dating, but guy doesn't know girl exists" FML. I swear, alot of heartbreak can be avoided if you just ESTABLISH that the two of you are dating before locking it into your fantasies. What is it? anyone notice how she said it was SHE who put her head on his shoulder, and that he held her hand the whole movie. She does not say that he initiated the hand holding. maybe she did and he didn't want her to feel bad or awkward so just did it the whole time. then asked for the advice to give her the hint that its not exactly what hes looking for from her....regardless, YDI bc i think what i said is true and i will accept no alternative.
