Today, I went to the movies with the guy I have been in love with for a long time. I laid my head on his shoulder and he held my hand throughout the movie. Afterwards he asked me for advice on the girl he likes. Apparently she isn't talking to him anymore. FML

OP Here- I love you people, speculating on people's lives like you know something. This is really old now, but I figured I'd give an update. We got together the following February, and are very happy where we're at now. C: So thanks ya'll for the input, though most of it was unnecessary. I know what love is, do you?

YDI for having skewed expectations. Infatuation isn't really respectful, much less considerate. It was also rather unintentionally cruel to blindly mosey in on the other gal's turf (unless she really is gone). On the other hand, if you really wanted a relationship and wouldn't mind knowing the man behind the mask, then just talk to him already. Sheesh...

it seems to me that he likes u as a friend. he probably made up girl trouble so u wouldn't get the wrong idea. don't kiss or sleep with him. if you do, he'll regret it because he was thinking with the wrong head. I should know. I think you're talking about me. :-/

sounds like you are a last resort OP, or else he just thinks you are that close friends and he is a touchyfeely person. I have a couple of friends I can do that with, but there is a mutual friendship only agreement there.
