Today, I worked 24 hours straight fixing my company's servers. After it was over, I breathed a huge sigh of relief and promptly fell asleep at my desk. My boss found me an hour later, refused to listen to me, and fired me for sleeping on the job. FML

Too bad you can't rewire your boss so he isn't a dick.

Sounds like you're pretty good with computers. I say **** up their systems.

Sounds like you need a union.

You shouldn't even be going for 24 hours without sleep, working or not! I hate this society.

Just put the servers back the way they then leave. And code it so no one else can get in or change it

#91 has a good idea. Let em fix their own mess. When in High School Computer programming I borrowed some code to protect my work. If someone tried to alter it or use it without a password it wiped the network hard drive. Took the teachers 2 days to restore the computers after someone stole my work

u do something good nobody remembers..u do something wrong nobody forgets..sob!

That sucks OP but it was kind of your fault. If the servers were that broken then your boss probably should have known and also known how long you were fixing them.

dude I'd be so mad I cant even do homework without falling asleep a couple of times.

Hey... expect anything in a life of business. I mean anything. Ha

I would just brake the shit I just fixed then he is screwed anyway

I am sorry to say this, but you did deserve that. You should have clocked out and went to your car. Slept there if you needed. Sleeping at your desk sends the wrong image. And yes it does suck that you spent all night fixing the server only to be fired.

That is absolute nonsense. At best the boss should have sent him home to sleep it off, but in absolutely no way is this his fault. At worst, this would have been an official reprimand.
