Today, I wrote a poem for this guy I am falling for. Before telling him that I wrote it, he read it and then laughed at how "corny and stupid" it was because he would "never date someone who could come up with something that lame." The poem was about how vulnerable he makes me feel. FML

It's cool that you had the guts to gave him a poem you wrote yourself, but you really shouldn't write about how vulnerable someone makes you feel. And they're a little overdone, making them even more corny. Not everyone appreciates poetry though.

Wow, girl, I feel for you. Sucks when that happens, but just forget about him and try to find someone better. If you're writing poetry about your feelings and have the guts to give it to a guy you have feelings for, you deserve better.

Wow... I write suckish love poems all the time, but the OP actually had the guts to give it to them!!! In my opinion the guy she gave it to is a major jerk!!!! He obvoiusly doesn't deserve someone nice enough to write him a love poem. Or a love poem at all. Definitely a waste of creativity!!

I think he's just being insensitive. I wouldn't laugh at anyone's non-comedic poem. Especially one about deep, sensitive feelings. Could you post it for us? Or send it to me?

That's why you shouldn't fall for someone just because they look attractive enough to be the person everyone would fall for. You should fall for someone because they are that special someone who really understands you in a way no one else would.

idk what number 3 is talking about if a girl wrote me a poem I would be flattered not to mention feel wanted. I say you go girl. I say the dude was a jerk because if your showing him it your at the very least interested in the poem he could have at least pretended to like it for your case
