Ah, just tell them to shut up! At least the teacher said you're smart.
sorry op but freinds always laugh or hoot on this kind of situations
One time when I was a teen my mother went to a private meeting with the teachers at my school and when she told them how intelligent I really was they acted as if they didn't believe her. I was an emotional wreck at junior high, my grades plummeted, I got bullied a lot and it wasn't until I was in my late 20's that I got diagnosed with Asperger's. I know just typing that is just begging the trolls to come at me, but whatever.
If you're in Calculus, you are definitely NOT dumb.
What a stupid situation.
It's better than being a virgin and walking down the hallways between EVERY class period being called "****", "*****", "*****", "b****" by your best friends ever single day.
And why do you... uhmmm... call them "best friends"? o_O
I just got a 60 on my advanced geometry test, you're not the only one out there who's not great at math
Don't feel bad. They might've just been messing with you. If not, I'm terrible at math as well.
I'm sure you're very smart. My friends would do the same thing, and I'm smarter than most of them. Just because I have my occasional blonde moments:P
you should have laughed too, at least then you could pretend that you werent embarassed.

The teacher said you WERE smart. Not that you ARE smart. If you were smart you'd have been able to tell the difference.
Except, you may have noticed, the op didn't directly quote the substitute. Now, because the op is telling a story in the past tense, not only is the open correct in using the word was, but both your attempt to insult op and be funny have severely failed. FYL.
