I know this is old, but I have to say, he probably cleared out his intestines by eating more vegetables than he normally does. A lot of people walk around with a lot of undigested stuff in them. Gross but true. If you normally eat right, then you wouldn't have that to lose. Also, you might have put on some water weight. I wouldn't let this get you discouraged.
It's been proven that men lose weight much easier than women. Which sucks and is horribly unfair, but unfortunately that's yet another burden we women must endure.

Some people have fast metabolisms, dont fret! Just do more cardio and maybe drink a protien shake in place of a meal if you want to gain muscle as well
