Today, it's been a few days since I decided to give this girl I like the silent treatment.I've been writing on/off with her for a few weeks, but decided to stop a bit, to seem mysterious. When I logged on Facebook today, her status was "..is so happy that annoying guy has stopped writing to me!" FML

Today, it’s been three hours since my girlfriend starting giving me the silent treatment. I went to the bakery to buy some pastries, so I asked her if she wanted any before I left. She said “No.” I came home with one pastry for myself and she threw a tantrum because she'd said “No” to see if I would get her one anyway. I’m confused. FML

i agree, before i was going out with my current boyfriend i wouldn't talk to him even if i knew he was available so i could let him start the conversations, which i wouldn't exactly call "the silent treatment" but it seems similar. it was hard though because turns out he was doing the same thing to me. it was just a way of judging if he really enjoyed talking to me or not, seems like in OP's case she didn't.

Crafting "little strategies n shit" means that you're treating your relationship (or lack thereof) like a game. It's immature and disrespectful, especially if you're also ignoring the other person's reactions to said "strategies". If you bother to pay attention, you'll know when you've made someone uncomfortable.

i think she must have taken it personal and did that..if she really thought you were annoying and she was glad, she probably would just be glad to herself, but to put it on a facebook status just sounds like her way of coping with imagined rejection..wouldn't she have deleted you? she probably wanted you to see it so she could kind of reject you before you reject her if that makes sense unless she's just insensitive and mean then oh well..you don't really need to let your whole facebook friend list know..maybe she was trying to impress some other guy by making it seem like there's other guys after her
