Wow I was really surprised to be published, it made my day a bit better. I held off on commenting until I knew more about my issue. I actually went to the doctor two days after this got published. The doctor said it had happened because I had missed like 3 pills(birth control) in one month. The period continued for 3 months with 2-4 day breaks in between. I'm glad to say it's back to normal and on a regular cycle. (I'm 15)

'i do what I want' - your period
I had one last for 3 weeks once... Plus a yeast infection at the same time. It was hell.
Try two months. **** the pill!
I would recommend going to the doctor to check everything is okay. Also long or heavy periods can lead to becoming anaemic so may be good to check it out x
For everyone saying something is really wrong, I think thats an exaggeration. Go get checked out if its not gone after two weeks, but irregular periods are actually extremely common especially when switching birth control. Its hormones fudging up. You don't needlto out the fear of God into her.
I've had longer ones :/ I had one every week for the past three weeks and I'm on deppo. But supposed to even get periods, but nothing works for lucky me. And in response to the people suggesting a doctor be seen: they can't do anything.
Once the dr finds out what's causing her period to last that long they could do something. It's also a good idea to go see a doctor to make sure it's nothing serious causing it.
The depo shot gave me osteoporosis by the time I was 24. There have been class action lawsuits against them. Do some research, its not safe
