Wow I was really surprised to be published, it made my day a bit better. I held off on commenting until I knew more about my issue. I actually went to the doctor two days after this got published. The doctor said it had happened because I had missed like 3 pills(birth control) in one month. The period continued for 3 months with 2-4 day breaks in between. I'm glad to say it's back to normal and on a regular cycle. (I'm 15)

my cousin had hers for 4 years straight and they couldn't figure out why.
I used to have a similar problem. I was embarrassed to go see my doctor because I didn't want to go on birth control. Eventually my mom made me because my iron would get so low from the bleeding that I would collapse. Getting everything straightened out and getting on medication made things so much easier. I know it can be tough to talk to people about something this intimate, OP, but you're dealing with something like this regularly it can be a pretty easy fix if you're willing to get some medical assistance.
I feel your pain, I used to have 30+ day periods and for years even doctors didn't believe me. I tried multiple different birth control pills to help but they didn't work, ended up getting the Mirena IUD at 15 which did shorten and lighten my periods but caused a lot of pain and nobody believed me when I said I could feel it. After over a year of having it in I had it taken out against doctor's recommendations and the pain went away but periods came back full force. Then by chance when I went to the osteo one day for another reason periods were brought up and he said it sounded like my uterus was in the wrong position, sure enough 2 sessions (non-invasive) later and my periods have been short and sweet ever since. I definitely recommend seeing if that's the problem because if I had've known that at the start I wouldn't have wasted my time with doctors who either didn't help or treated the symptoms rather than fixing the problem.
I had one that was over a month long. Went to the doctor and they said the birth control pills I was on had too low amount of hormones. There were not enough hormones to stop my period, yet just enough hormones to actually keep the period going. They gave me a new prescription with a higher level of hormones and everything stopped and went back to normal. :) hope that helps!
Go to the doctor that's not normal.
I recommend that you go see a doctor...
I bled for 3 months once. You should probably see a dr just to be safe an make sure it could be a cyst or cancer.
That's just bloody awful. I've never had one longer than a week, & now 3-5 days.
U should really check that. I don't think thats normal :/
