Wow I was really surprised to be published, it made my day a bit better. I held off on commenting until I knew more about my issue. I actually went to the doctor two days after this got published. The doctor said it had happened because I had missed like 3 pills(birth control) in one month. The period continued for 3 months with 2-4 day breaks in between. I'm glad to say it's back to normal and on a regular cycle. (I'm 15)

Maybe it's time to go see a doctor?

....you should probably go see a doctor for that.

I can definitely relate. A "normal" period for me pre birth control was a minimum of 2 weeks and I've had two separate occasions where I had one period for 2.5 months. But on the other side of the spectrum, I've also had two occasions where I had no periods at all for 5 months. I had terrible cramping to the point of tears and my periods were incredibly heavy. I was having to wear both a tampon and a pad at once and had to change both every hour or i'd be soaked. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times I bled through to my clothes. Needless to say, my cycle is not regular. My doctor put me on birth control to regulate my periods. It did take some trial and error to find the right strenght level though. One type had me having my period the 2nd and 4th week of the pack, and another had me having it the last 2 weeks of the pack. Now I'm finally on one that I have a normal 3-4 day period that is no longer insanely heavy. I can get about 4 hours out of a regular tampon now and have minimal cramping. Definitely go to the doctor. They'll probably just put you on birth control to regulate your cycle. Good luck finding the right one for you!

The 16th day? And I'm just sitting here complaining about how awful my cramps are.

I feel for you OP I really do. Hope it stops soon

Are you on the pill? I have heard of this happening to a few people and it happens to myself where the pill has been missed, and then as result a period has occurred. Mean while the hormone pill is still being taken after said missed pill. I ended up stopping the pill and waiting for it to finish then restarting and gave this advice to others and it worked for them. Of course u should use other forms of contraception.
