Today, it was my birthday dinner with my family. Everyone was making an effort to avoid a certain topic. Later my 5 year old cousin gives me a nice hand drawn card of me and my boyfriend. Apparently no one had the heart to tell her my boyfriend had broken up with me on my birthday. FML

I don't think she was blaming the kid. So many people missed the point of this FML. She is bummed her bf broke up with her on her bday and then the reminder probably made the situation awkward. It doesn't say anywhere that she blames the poor kid. She seems like a sweety.

It's also really hot and dry, man. She doesn't have any of her usual make-up, hair supplies, clean clothes, or desert clothes. I mean, it's january here, so she's dressed for winter, and suddenly she's thrown into the desert, with her winter clothes still on. FYL, OP, FYL.
