Today, my 15 year-old daughter got kicked out of her cheerleading squad because she was overweight. I heard one of the cheerleaders say, "She must be overweight because her mom is." FML
I agree, your life sucks 43 398
You deserved it 13 862

Same thing different taste

That's weird. The cheerleaders at my school come in different sizes. the best one is the fat girl.

yeah, I've noticed that weight standards for HS cheerleaders have relaxed considerably I'm the past 10-15 years.

So have the athletic standards. I see very few aerial moves or even the old school pyramids anymore when they put cheerleading on tsn. But really, with 190lb cheerleaders there's no way they could physically do most of the moves that used to win contests.

That is so rude. She's better off being out of the squad and away from those bitches.

It's much worse, socially, to be overweight in high school than as an adult. This is an Fmykid'sL, stop being a selfish piece of crap and go support your daughter in what is probably the most devastating experience of her adolescence!

I think at least part of the FML was that her daughter's feelings had been hurt. When I was bullied in secondary school, my mum got ANGRY.

same here , i find it kind of humorous but at the same time its sad that their representing our cheerleading squad .. bleh

I find that odd. Typically (atleast here) as long as you have money you can be whatever and whoever in high school. There were a few stereotypical "big" girls on our squad. Australia must have different standards. I don't think it should matter how big you are, as long as you're able to perform the given routine. There are some shallow ass ***** in this world. Maybe you and your daughter could join a gym together and motivate each other to get in better shape.

popularity doesn't matter on how much money your parents earn, what happend to appearance & personality hmm? just adding in, cheerleading isn't that big in Australia so I assume our routines would be pretty weak, compared to your typical American cheers. Weight really shouldn't matter, but un fortunately Aussie high school girls can be total bitches that find it amusing to make other girls feel like shit. OP's daughter probably isn't that big anyway,

then make her healthy you suck at parenting here you are crying over what little girls said while your daugher is up for grabs in the self harming anitiative suck it up and be healthy

@25, that's a good idea. The mother has probably been fat since the kid was born, so the daughter probably grew up with the idea that being fat was the norm and when she was old enough to notice other 'prettier' girls, she was still busy being fat.

just means that ue daughter is better than those blonde wide pussy retards who know nothing about what an awesome person ur daughter is

who said being blonde is a bad thing? who said anyone was blonde. completely irrelevant and inaccurate. don't hate ;)

Who's to say that the daughter is awesome?

Is something wrong with being blonde? Maybe the daughter is blonde.
