I'm trying to see the problem here...as a brony myself (I hate the term pegasister) I am impatiently awaiting the next season as well!
I'm a girl and I identify more with brony too ^_^ I can't wait for the next season and i don't think people should be judged for that.
I think it is the fact that he's a boy and generally boys 'shouldn't like girl stuff'. Not my words. Just the views of society
48 - I don't know man, I think society has become more and more aware that MLP is awesome.
Not judging but how do people like that show?
I think the OP would rather their son be a bit more..uh manly? I know I'm going to get thumbed down for this but why the hell are kids obsessed with this show? It has animated ponies that fly around with rainbows. I wouldn't want my 15 year old son watching that. I'd rather them watch Die Hard or Platoon. Something with less ponies and less rainbows.
......I would be having a father to son talk with that boy
"Son...I love you. Ponies are ******* awesome! You're a true man!"
He's old enough to earn the money and pre-order his own copy just like me.
Wouldn't you rather he watched a show about friendship and morales than spent his days playing COD and watching ****? MLP is more of a fad and will probably die out a bit later but I think it's nice that boys are starting to be able to watch that kind of thing without having to worry about ridicule as much as before. Shame on you for posting this in such q negative way about your own son.
This. This is exactly why I think bronies can't be bad people. ^_^
You have raised a brony.
Jeez the reactions with this show, seriously! People don't even know what they're talking about, I swear. Look: it's a kid's show. It's a show about friendship, tolerance, acceptance, and all that bullshit that has a hard time existing in the real world. YES some people like being reminded of these values. Say whatever you like: I love MLP. When I come home after a rotten day, it is about the only thing that will make me smile and be happy. And before you say anything, I'm a girl, so keep the pony-pervert and child-molester comments to a minimum please. While some people sexualize the show, not all fans do. So please stop grouping us all together. Lastly, why do people make such a big deal out of this? I like Avatar and Young Justice and Disney movies as well, and rule 34 applies to those too. So WHY are you all bashing on bronies only??? I really don't get the hate. But OP, you should be proud that your son is willing to admit he watches a moral-driven, well-animated, not to mention, cute, show.
Um, I wasn't aware anyone here was generalizing you or thought any of that stuff but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
What people don't understand they just go with the oldie but goody negative view, because when you hit puberty your not supposed to want to watch happy stuff it's all about shoot this! Bang that! **** **** ****!! It's a kid. Who cares, the boys got a right to what he watches.. nothing wrong with his taste in tv shows.
Do you have a shorter version I could read instead?
A lot of people assume that every brony is a 50 year old pedo.
Makes me wonder; if you had a 15-year-old daughter, would you be ashamed if she begged for you to pre-order the next season of Transformers?
Probably not. Men are still seen as superior to women, so a woman liking masculine things is seen as 'bettering' herself, but a man liking feminine things is seen as 'lowering' or 'degrading' himself. Stupid femmephobic society. Other note: I recently added a ponifying browser extension and it made this comment section much more entertaining.
Did that exceeded your expectations?
Be proud! Bronies are awesome! :D
Brohoof! /)
