Today, my 17-year-old son came home with a black eye saying he ran into a pole at school. I asked the principal if we could see the tapes. He actually did run straight into a pole. And not just once, twice. FML

He didn't give an excuse. I was laughing my ass off in the office though.

Maybe you should talk to him about the difference between Platform 9 3/4 and Narnia's lampost.

Don't **** with the polish!!

If hes seventeen i dont feel it was necessary for you to go running to the school. The school staff is there to acknowledge the serious problems so if you didnt recieve a phone call alerting you of an issue then whatever happened should be his business. Its not very helpful to a seventeen year old boy if his parents are always protecting him.

Umm, #82, that was significantly irresponsibly minded. No matter what age they are, you NEVER stop caring and being a worried parent to your kid!!

And if you think schools can actually do anything about bullying and the such - yes, I know, it's presumptuous of me to assume that's what the parent was thinking but what can I say, I am a brazen man - you're wholly mistaken.

Happened to me... But I was reading, sooo

damn poles, always hurting our children
