I don't understand why any adult wouldn't/doesn't take a child seriously if they say they need the bathroom. I remember being in Year 7 so I was 12 or 13 and having to ask to use the bathroom and being told no. And seeing another student in year 9 being denied the toilet. What possible reason could you have for denying anyone, child or otherwise, the right to the toilet; it's not like they say it just to get attention.

This might help, kids at that age don't want to have dirty papers/underwear. Especially if she knows what the potty is.
