Today, my anxiety got so bad that when I stole a sword in Skyrim and resisted arrest, I had a full-on panic attack as I ran away. I ended up curling up on the sofa as my character got hacked to death on the TV. FML

It's all fun and games until they spot you stealing their swords!

I got caught stealing once, resisted arrest and got a "warrant" so every time I went to towns everyone attacked me. I eventually got so frustrated I never played again.

Stop right there criminal scum!

I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee. Cliched right?

I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than you!

Let me guess somebody stole your sweetroll

"Stop right there criminal scum! You violated my mother!"

"Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't."

You can pay the guards and they will stop.

Seriously... I feel so stupid now. I tried for a couple months to figure out what to do and got so mad I traded the game in. I was pretty new to those kind of games, though, at the time so I blame my stupidity on my newbie-Ness.

Until that moment where you can fight the entire city and win by just face rolling your keyboard or controller!

My character in Skyrim isn't that skilled yet, but in Oblivion I've wiped out an entire town, guards and all, just cuz I can. It's fun. :)

It's hard to miss the pay the guards option :s They catch you and you get a selection of dialogue boxes. Personally though I'm always a close member of the thieves guild, pay a much smaller fee and keep all your stolen goods and go about your business.

Or become a thane that helps occasionally.

There's not much worth stealing besides money. It can be hard to sell stolen items. I like to steal weapons off of guards and give them wooden swords. It's funny... Until they can't defend themselves and die.

Thieves guild fences will buy stolen goods

sorry OP, you ahould probably talk to someone, professionally. . . you dont have to live like this. It can be better

Why are you downvoted? I just got this game yesterday and I think it's cool too!

As someone who has played over 500 hours of Skyrim (100 ish on ps3 and 411 on pc) I can confirm that skyrim is probably the best game ever. whenever I get tired of it I can make a new character or just play other games for a while and come back and it's just as fun as when I first got it :D

#51: Don't forget about my favorite word ever: MODS! I had around 250ish hour on PS3 until I got the yellow light of death. Since then, I've been playing on PC and I can't believe how much I was missing!

yep that sucks my anxiety gets that bad too. sorry I know how u feel. I get anxiety everyday it's Ben a battle for 11 years already everyday no end.

Nightingale armor is the best when it comes to that. Plus the shadow warrior perk. Or you can go full out noob and tdetect the consol

No 39, you're the first person in 11 years to suggest that to him. Congrats.

Should have stolen the cheese. It's more fun :P

OP should have been wearing thieves armor. All of this could have been prevented with thieves armor

50 OP might not be that far in the game, or just held off on the thieves guild quests and hasn't gotten there yet. I actually had so many side quests to do, I didn't do those quests to become a thieves guild member until last month.

Or OP could have dragged the sword away where no one could see it, then steal it.

Seriously though I feel bad for you OP, anxiety is horrible to live with and I hope you can get better soon so you can enjoy great games! :)
