Today, my apartment was scheduled for bedbug extermination via heat. The directions said to lay clothing across surfaces so the heat could evenly penetrate. When the bug company came, they said they couldn’t exterminate because it was “too messy.” FML

I just got rid of a bedbug infestation because my neighbors had them really badly. The exterminators told us to bag all of our clothes up and take them to an offsite laundromat and wash and dry them on high heat, drying them for at least an hour for each load. FYL because your exterminators didn’t prep you properly :(

They meant lay out clean clothes neatly, not just throw your dirty laundry anywhere. Get it right before you get red dots all over your bodies. I’ve heard of that happening.
