Today, my "best friend" invited me to drink with her and a couple other friends. She told me to "just bring a few bucks for beer". When I got there, no one else had brought money, including her. They only invited me because I'm the only one with a job. FML

Today, it was my friend's 18th birthday. She had invited us out drinking. I've never had alcohol before and was very excited. I got a call explaining that she had invited one too many and asked me not to come. People bragging on facebook about what a great time they were having didn't help either. FML

Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML

Today, I went to a bar with my best friend, and some guys came up to us and started flirting with her and offering her a drink. I felt a bit left out and started joking that "I'm thirsty too". One guy looked at me, cringed and said, "No, I don't buy drinks for weird girls." FML

And that's when I buy a drink for myself and look at them and go, "Oh, I only brought enough money to spend on me. You said bring a couple bucks, I figured we were all buying our own stuff." and proceed to drink it in their faces.

You deserved it because you obviously had to know that they didn't have a job in which they had money for drinks. Next time, say you can't go. Once they get jobs, then you can. I've been in the same situation for years and I finally got out. I know I wasted over $2,000 (in less than 4 years) on my friends in promises that they would pay be back.
