NurseGabby tells us more.
Well the truth is I work in hospice. I was sent to an admission without the information I needed so I could give a family 5 star treatment because they are a friend of someone in the facility I went to. In the end I told my boss maybe she should stand in the corner for not properly informing me, and I treat everyone with the same compassion and dignity no matter who they are or know!

He probably didn't want you to make the situation any worse. Considering your username, I guess even the smallest mistakes can have dire consequences
The other day, CBC Marketplace aired a documentary on the residency aspect of med school and how the super long hours (varies from 16-22 hours straight in North America) are problematic for both the person and the people they are treating. Unfortunately, the attention and cognition of the person weans drastically. Scary to think, right? Nurses have a very similar situation involving long hours. Maybe that is what happened to OP (if we are assuming OP did something bad). Edit: The documentary is on YouTube. You can search "Is your doctor too tired? Hospital shifts and your health (CBC Marketplace)".
I agree to what you have to say. I only said the smallest mistakes have great consequences, I didn't imply that OP had erred on purpose, I apologize if my statement sounded accusing, it wasn't meant to be.
Were you acting like a child?
Use your time in the corner to look online for another job.
Ummmm.. Did you make a really silly mistake?
Any chance that your boss has a toddler at home whom s/he disciplines this way and got things mixed up at work? Just a thought...
Elaborate please
Did your boss let you keep your binky? if not you should report them.
All I can think is their boss was probably joking and they took it the wrong way. I've had good bosses who'd make jokes like this before...
I was thinking the same thing. My boss likes to joke around with us as well. I would've just laughed.
Well, did you?

Did he give you lines too?
From your username, it sounds like you have a very responsible job and don't deserve being treated like a child, whatever happened! FYL OP.
