If it makes you feel better OP :/ i almost got fired on friday .. For being a good employee .. At least she sympathized tho ! Good luck finding a new job
At least your boss cares about you, OP.
OP to boss: There, there. I'm sure you'll feel much better after doubling my severance package.
That's kinda awesome though
I have been laid off and been the manager that laid people off. It's a terrible thing to let someone go for something that was not their fault.
It's shitty for everyone involved, even if you're firing someone for cause, because you know you're cutting off someone's livelihood.
It's a very good thing when someone appreciates your work. Bad situation but at least you got her feeling. Good luck in your new research.
get a good recommendation letter from her ..it helps your resume...and make sure you keep in touch with her...
At least you know it wasn't her idea and she was against it
That's very nice of you to do that for her despite the circumstances. Shows you have a caring heart!

Well then you must be a great employee OP. Hopefully you won't have much trouble getting a new job with a good recommendation
You're a good person OP. Sounds like you'll have a good reference at least.
