They're not so much crazy as superstitious. Plenty of people believe that cats are magic and have a great connection to the spirit world. There are tons of counts of cats being able to tell when someone is going to die, or have supernatural spiritual draws to bizarre instances. It's a big thing in Egyptian mythology too. :p

Haha, I used to try convince mist of my sisters' boyfriends that their cats where seeing spirits and that's why they always actors like they hit the cat nip a little to hard. I had a couple of them believing, but I literally had one guy believe it so much, he was going yo give the cat away and list his house for sale. Sad thing? He was 15 years older then me - I was 17 when I did that. Hmmm, does your boyfriends name happen to be Mike and did he used to work for Wal Mart? FYL op.

Wow, I've seen my fair share of stupid nationalities. It irritates me to no end when I see these comments. That would be like me saying most French are weak, most Germans are hairy, most Chinese are tiny, etc. Get the picture? Encompassing a whole nation of people because you have talked to a few in passing or going by what you hear from others is total idiocy. BTW - I don't believe any of the comparisons given, just making a point based off of what I have heard.
