Today, it's my birthday. My boyfriend’s birthday is a month before mine. I'd spent my birthday savings on his, but he told me that we couldn’t do anything for mine because, “I didn’t plan or organize better.” FML

Today, my birthday was terrible yet again. This year, my boyfriend skipped celebrating with me at all. Last year, he guilt-tripped me about ‘having’ to spend time with me and got me two gift certificates that were unusable due to COVID. These weren’t even my worst birthdays to date. FML

How old are you? How old is he? How long have you been dating? IMO its just a day. Does he treat you right other times of the year? If so, YDI. If he treats you like crap all the time, time to dump him.

You know that won't get better, right? If he's done it twice in a row, expect it every time. Only you can decide if he treats you well enough the rest of the year to not dump him. Personally, birthdays mean a lot to me, for spending time with those I love, so I'd dump him.
