Today, my boyfriend finally let me take his dog on a walk, after two years of not trusting me to keep her safe. During the walk, a car drove by, causing her to run after it and pulling the leash out of my hand. Five hours later, and I still can't find her. FML

must have been a big dog for you to not be able to tug the leash back.

is that the reason he didn't let u walked the dog in the first place...was there another dog???

The dog will return home when it realizes that's the place it gets its food.

Of course! Is that why everyone just let's their dogs run around the neighborhood? And here I was worried the dog would get run over by a car or something. Good thing the dog knows where it can get food.

^lol I live in the country and my dog goes where she wants to...because she knows where her food is. she can't hurt anyone and she even knows to avoid cars. dogs often come back, it's just a fact, now calm the **** down.

But what about all the dogs that don't come back? My two idiots see an open door and no leash and they're GONE. They'll high tail it right down the middle of the street and never look back.

Well that's too bad then. The smart dogs return.

Or Rallets will get his hands on it and sodomize the poor thing.

I'd feel so bad, especially in the situation that he cared so much about his dog that he didn't trust you with her. I know exactly how he feels, I don't trust anyone with my dog. If you don't find her, that's horrible.

guess the trust thing is out the window
