Today, my boyfriend had the very expensive watch he got me for Xmas resized. I dropped it trying to put it on and shattered the glass. The warranty won't cover it because of the adjustments made. FML

Don't get all broken up about it. Things will be fine in time.

Maybe it's a smart watch My apple watch broke falling on the floor. Don't want to bring the apple haters, but it is pretty crappy

Luckily, I'm sure you can find somewhere to replace the glass. May not come cheap though...

Get it sized back, then warranty loopholed.

What kind of warranty doesn't cover that? "oh you dropped and shattered your watch. Nope sorry since you changed your watch to fit your wrist we can't cover you. Next!"

What kind of expensive watch has a glass face that will shatter?? Don't they typically have sapphire crystal faces for exactly that reason (so they don't scratch or break)?

Changing the size of a watch band is a ordinary adjustment and they're bullshitting you that it voids the warranty. If the crystal shattered, your boyfriend either knowingly or unknowingly bought you a counterfeit watch.
