What kind of warranty doesn't cover that? "oh you dropped and shattered your watch. Nope sorry since you changed your watch to fit your wrist we can't cover you. Next!"
What kind of expensive watch has a glass face that will shatter?? Don't they typically have sapphire crystal faces for exactly that reason (so they don't scratch or break)?
Changing the size of a watch band is a ordinary adjustment and they're bullshitting you that it voids the warranty. If the crystal shattered, your boyfriend either knowingly or unknowingly bought you a counterfeit watch.
