Today, my boyfriend made me breakfast because I had a cold. Because my nose was so stuffed, I couldn't tell that our milk had gone bad. I had two cups. And now I'm stuck on the toilet. FML

Did ur tongue not feel weird? It has an almost sour taste. How f***ed up did that cold affect ur tastebuds?

When you're congested you generally can't taste either...

I'm pretty sure if you're stuffed up you REALLY shouldn't even be having dairy in the first place.

You may not of been able to smell it but when you drank it you shoulda known

That sucks OP! Put some VapoRub under your nose for your nose to be cleared! Hope you feel better!

All the people saying "but shouldn't you be able to taste it?" you can definitely lose your ability to taste when you have a cold and are stuffed up. Taste is largely impacted by smell. I'm still getting over a brutal cold and I couldn't taste anything for like a week when I first got it. And it doesn't have to be lumpy or anything to be bad either, it could have just been sour. I wonder why OP's boyfriend didn't notice though. And dairy is definitely not a good thing when you're sick anyway, especially if you're really stuffy, it just makes mucus worse.

Wouldn't the lumps give it away? Seriously you can't taste it been off.

Maybe he's trying to send you a message

Few questions to OP, only for my understanding of the incident: 1. What's the linkage between a blocked nose and gap-in-verbal-communication? 2. If you were aware of the spoilt milk, what resisted you to point out that issue by sticky notes? 3. Why your partner couldn't read the expiry date of milk on the package? This question should be asked to him, if not asked. 4. Finally, why did you consume that stuff, if you were aware of that milk packet?

She drank the milk before she was aware that it had gone bad.

Ok understood. Sometimes less words lead to confusion. I agree OP had a bad experience because of her boy friend's mistake.
