Today, my boyfriend of 2 years took me to get a tattoo done with his name on. He paid for it. After it was done he told me it was over between us and he thought it'd be a nice reminder of him for me. FML

your boyfriend is such an asshole. i'd definitely make him pay to get it removed. also if you do get it removed try not to think about him. because he is obviously an asshole making you have to deal with getting a tattoo just for you to most likely get it removed someday. so instead of actually crying about a breakup that isn't even worth it you should just move on with your life and forget about him. he definitely isn't worth it

What an asshole. While I don't think you deserved it, it's never a good idea to tattoo your partner's name on yourself. I've always thought it was kinda like a jinx.

OP, ahh that was such a dick move of him! Why would he do that to someone who he's been with for two years? And why would he think that you would want a reminder of the person who broke your heart branded on you? Either he wanted revenge/to be an asshole, or he's really just that stupid. You shouldn't have given in to him, though... but you're better off without him. I guess you could get it removed (I would also make him pay for it), or at least change it around into something cool (if possible) like Johnny Depp did. Sorry to hear about this, but best of luck. #5 - His tattoo is still cool! Meaningful AND clever. :D

Wow, that ******* sucks. I thought it was common sense never to get a tattoo of a boyfriend or girlfriend's name, no matter how long you've been dating..but damn. That was a shitty thing of him to do. I'd knock his ass out, and make him pay to get it removed. Where on you did you get it done at?
