Of course it's going to happen. He spent a lot more time with that woman than he has with you, so it's probably gonna take him a while to get used to saying your name instead of hers. I accidentally called my boyfriend of 3 weeks my exes name (who I was with for 3 years) and my boyfriend was perfectly understanding. It doesn't always mean you still have feelings for them, it's usually just because you're so used to saying their name rather than anybody else's.
No one knows that's going to happen. No one wants that to happen, and no one expects that to happen
Ouch!
I don't blame him. marriage is a big deal and youve only been with him a few weeks. when you've lived with someone for quite while their name becomes almost sewn on your tongue.
You should have slapped him. And then said, "you knew that was bound to happen?"
OP I wouldn't worry about it. When I first started dating my boyfriend of 7 months, I used to call him sometimes by my guy friend's name. I've never had a crush on my guy friend even though we used to hang out all the time. I definitely really like my boyfriend. I've also called my friend my 11 years younger sister's name.
I think the worst part is not that he mixed up their names - which is pretty easy to do if you've been married for probably 1+ years and have only dated the other person for a few weeks. The worst part is that instead of just apologizing he said 'you knew it would happen.'
Don't worry OP that used to happen to me all the time...The worst was when his family did it...they still had pics of her and him up around the house
I know how you feel
what I would do is..... dump him

It was bound to happen. It's only a couple of weeks. Unless he still has feelings for her I wouldn't worry about it.
Well of course it was going to happen - he was married to her. So he's used to saying that name when he's talking to his significant other - it's habit. And you've only been together a few weeks. If he's constantly saying it or still doing it a couple months down the road, or during sex, then you can worry about it a little. And even if it was during sex - once is a silly mistake - if it keeps happening, then give it a little thought.
