Ok, stop gripping. At least he proposed to you, and in person. That's what's wrong with girl now days, they can never just be happy. I'm a girl, and I'd LOVE for my boyfriend to propose. So I really don't wanna hear how 'badly' he proposed. It's the thought that counts, and at least he's creative. You don't wanna marry an ole bump on a log do you?

If you want him to propose, maybe you should start "gripping" a little harder. Seriously, though, why are you (and so many other women) so obsessed with getting a ring to validate your relationship? If you're that hell-bent on marriage, propose yourself. Otherwise, STFU.
