I hope you had the good taste NOT to confront him about the shitty cleaning job. I once cooked a big dinner for my wife and her family, and only got complaints about the clean-up -- I've never cooked for her again! It's OK to whine about it to us in FML-land, but I sure hope you didn't bitch him out.

"Ill do the dishes, honey." = "I'm going to rush through these dishes so we could get to said banging." It sounds like he cares about you, and is really attracted to you. Give him a break.

Maybe no one ever taught the poor guy how to wash dishes? At least he tried. It's not like he was taking the lazy way out, that seems like a ton of work compared to just rinsing and scrubbing.

I think I just threw up a little. GUYS: Being able to cook food and maintain a non-lethal level of domestic hygiene is as basic a set of life skills as dressing yourself and wiping your own ass. To say this is "woman's work" is utter bullshit, and I hope you're all just trolling for effect. There is no excuse for human beings to not be able to perform the most basic tasks required to sustain their own miserable, pathetic lives.

Okay so he set up a romantic dinner and 'cleaned' dishes by a standard that is probably not even his own (evident by the fact the op is/was still with him). Most likely he was just doing that to hurry up and get the op into bed.
